First Night
Be the first to choose from the art on sale at The Weekend Australian Art Melbourne and enjoy complimentary drinks and live entertainment by attending First Night on Thursday 16 April 09. Tickets are strictly limited and can only be booked in advance.
Ticket Prices
First Night - $50*
Includes access to the exclusive preview of the fair, complimentary drinks and live entertainment.
Friday, including Friday Night Live - $20*
Saturday - $20*
Sunday - $20*
Book your tickets in advance for Friday, Saturday or Sunday and receive a free ticket with every full price ticket purchased, to introduce a friend to art!
Getting To The Fair
The Royal Exhibition Building is located just north of Melbourne's CBD, and is next to the Melbourne Museum in Carlton Gardens.
Transport options include:
- Tram 86 or 96 to corner Nicholson and Gertrude Streets
- Free City Circle Tram to Victoria Parade
- City loop train to Parliament Station
- Bus routes 250, 251 and 402 to Rathdowne Street
Undercover parking is available
Children’s Art Workshop
Back for it’s fourth year at The Weekend Australian Art Melbourne, ‘smARTy pants’ Children’s Art Workshop allows you to explore the show at your leisure whilst your children enjoy a hands-on art experience in a supervised, stimulating environment. For children aged 5 to 15 years of age*, the workshops require no bookings and all children get to take their own masterpieces home at the end of their stay. Aprons are provided for attendees but it is highly recommended the children wear old clothing.
All art supplies provided by Eckersley’s Art & Craft.
Workshop times:
Will be confirmed closer to the date
Half hour of play is $6.00 or an hour is $12.00. Special sibling rate; $5.00 per half hour and $10.00 per hour.
*Toddlers are welcome to attend supervised by a parent or carer.
